Edition 2: HV Keep Fit Challenge – Sweat for a cause

The second edition of the HV Keep Fit Challenge has proven to be a remarkable success, reinforcing our commitment to health and social responsibility. Through The Hematlal Veljee Foundation, we pledged to support T1 Diams, a dedicated NGO focused on fighting diabetes, particularly among children.

The more we sweat, the more we donate!

The event offered a wide range of activities designed to keep participants motivated and engaged. From running, cycling, and walking, to swimming, CrossFit, badminton, and football, there was something for everyone.

Held over 43 consecutive days, from 15 October to 30 November 2024, the challenge was a collective effort. Participants covered an impressive total of 18,893 KM and burned 685,961 calories, resulting in a generous donation of Rs 120,000 to T1 Diams.

Embracing HV’s values

The challenge not only helped raise funds for a noble cause but also fostered a sense of unity and motivation among our colleagues, in Mauritius and Madagascar. The team atmosphere was truly energising, with employees coming together to achieve their fitness goals while embracing HV’s values of teamwork, perseverance, and social responsibility.

Winners and participants were duly recognized and rewarded for their hard work and achievements, celebrating the incredible collective effort of everyone involved.
